Bianca Calipari
Developmental Educator
My name is Bianca, and I am excited to join Jupiter Supports as their Developmental Educator.
I am passionate about inclusion and committed to person-centred practice. Having recently completed my degree in Disability and Developmental Education, I am eager to apply my knowledge to support individuals in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.
I have a strong drive to empower people to reach their full potential—whether that is through building life skills, supporting emotional regulation or fostering greater independence.
My approach is caring, collaborative and focused on what truly matters to each individual.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, going on walks and travelling.

Support Built on Knowledge, Trust and Understanding
Developmental Educators combine professional knowledge with empathy, communication and flexible problem-solving.
Empathy and Compassion
Developmental Educators work closely with people with disability and their families. Genuine understanding and care help build trust and support people through personal and emotional challenges.
Strong Communication
Clear verbal and written communication is important when working with clients, families, professionals and service providers, explaining strategies and advocating for individual needs.
Problem-Solving
Every person’s needs are different. Developmental Educators create tailored strategies, assess risks and evaluate which approaches will provide the most meaningful support.
Adaptability and Patience
Progress can be gradual and plans may need to change. Developmental Educators remain flexible and patient while working towards longer-term developmental goals.
Developmental Knowledge
A strong understanding of human development, disability studies and evidence-informed practice supports the creation of effective, person-centred programs and strategies.
What Is a Developmental Educator?
A Developmental Educator is a university-qualified allied health professional who works with people with disability to support learning, development, independence and quality of life.
Developmental Educators have specialised knowledge of human development and disability. They use person-centred and strength-based approaches to identify individual needs, abilities and goals.
They work collaboratively with the person, their family and other professionals to develop practical strategies that support communication, emotional regulation, social participation and everyday living.
The focus is not simply on addressing difficulties. Developmental Education also recognises each person’s strengths, preferences and potential, creating opportunities for greater choice, confidence and independence.
How We Can Support You
Support is tailored to the individual’s needs, environment, strengths, preferences and personal goals.
Individual Support Plans
Developing and implementing individualised plans that identify goals, strengths, support needs and practical strategies.
Skill Building
Supporting the development of communication, social, emotional and daily living skills that increase confidence and independence.
Positive Behaviour Support
Supporting positive behaviour through individualised, person-centred strategies and behaviour support planning.
Assessment and Early Intervention
Assessing developmental and support needs and identifying early intervention strategies that may improve participation and wellbeing.
Collaboration
Working alongside families, schools, support workers, allied health professionals and other important members of the person’s support network.
Advocacy
Supporting people with disability to have their needs, choices and rights recognised in education, employment and community settings.
Focused on What Matters to the Individual
Developmental Education is most effective when the individual is at the centre of every decision.
We begin by understanding the person’s strengths, interests, routines, communication style, support needs and personal goals.
Strategies are designed to be practical and meaningful within the person’s real-life environment. This may include support at home, school, work or within the community.
Progress is reviewed collaboratively, and strategies can be adjusted as the person’s needs, circumstances and goals change.
The aim is to help each individual build capacity, confidence and greater control over their everyday life.
Working With the People Who Matter
Developmental Education often involves collaboration across the person’s wider support network.
Individuals
Keeping the person’s preferences, goals, strengths and choices at the centre of their support.
Families and Carers
Sharing practical strategies and working together to support consistency across everyday environments.
Schools and Workplaces
Supporting inclusion, participation and reasonable strategies within education and employment settings.
Other Professionals
Collaborating with allied health professionals, support coordinators and service providers to maintain a coordinated approach.
